Gleim releases Seaplane Refresher Course

By Janice Wood · March 10, 2011 ·

Gleim has just released its newest online course: the Seaplane Refresher Course, which enables seaplane-rated pilots to stay current and pass their next flight review in a seaplane.

This course is an interactive study program that is designed to achieve two important goals. First, the course assists pilots who are preparing for a flight review in a seaplane. Second, the Seaplane Refresher Course serves as a review of seaplane concepts and procedures for pilots who already hold a seaplane rating and want to remain proficient.

Study units include:

  • The Seaplane Refresher Course
  • The Seaplane Environment
  • Alterations, Performance, Weight and Balance
  • Taxi and Turns
  • Take Offs
  • Approach and Landing
  • Emergency Operations
  • Docking and Beaching
  • Maximizing the Benefits of Your Refresher Course

All those in attendance at this Saturday’s Seventeenth Annual Seaplane Safety Seminar in Lakeland, Fla., will receive free access to the course.

Course access lasts for 12 months. Price: $24.95. As with all Gleim courses, you can try Study Unit 1 for free.
