IMC Club International has released a new Android application. The newly released application delivers the IMC iNews, podcasts, and IMCTV Video and other aviation related content to a pilot’s Android wireless device in a format that is easy to read and browse, according to officials. The application is free and it is downloadable from IMCClubs.com/mobile as well as the Android Market.
The new application also allows pilots to comment and interact on their social networks, Facebook and Twitter. Pilots can comment on a variety of selected topics of interest to instrument related pilots as well as the news feed directly from the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE), General Aviation News and others. A version for iPad is under development and is planned to be released soon.
IMC Club also plans on releasing its first webcast of IMC Report from IMC TV studios in Norwood, Mass., on Friday March 25. The webcast will include instructional content and opinions from IMC Club presenters. The webcast will be available on www.imcclubs.com as well as an iPhone and Android applications.
The IMC Club is a membership-based non-profit organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors, with a network of chapters throughout the nation. IMC Clubs goal is to create a community of pilots who share information, provide recognition, foster communications, promote safety and build proficiency in instrument flying.
