Grand opening set for FBO

By Janice Wood · April 11, 2011 ·

US Aviation Services will host ceremonies marking its Grand Opening at Denton Airport (DTO) in Texas on April 15-16. The event will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. with speeches from CEO Mike Sykes, Mayor Mark Burroughs, Diane Helms from State Senator Estes’ office, and Airport Manager Quinton Hix. Immediately following will be a ribbon cutting. Once the ribbon is cut, the building will be open for tours and refreshments will be served until 6 pm.

On Saturday the celebration will continue from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with exhibits of aircraft and products by aviation vendors. At 1 p.m., Richard Heitzman, of AmSafe, will discuss inflatable seat belts for aircraft; at 2 p.m. David Harsay will explain the benefits of performance enhancements for the King Air by Raisbeck Engineering; and at 3 p.m. Michael Combs will talk about his Flight For The Human Spirit, a trip that has included visits to 49 states in a Light Sport Aircraft.

Free lunch and soft drinks will be available all day Saturday and a fuel discount of $1 off the published price per gallon will be offered. For more information: 866-383-2400 or USAviation.aero
