The Sport Air Racing League has kicked off its 2011 season with the Taylor 150 at the Taylor, Texas, airport (T74), when 20 racers gathered under low clouds and stout winds to begin accumulating points toward a season championship. LiveAirShowTV was on hand for this first race, and has now posted a complete preview of the 2011 season.
“In less than two years of covering this league, I’ve seen it grow and taken on a momentum of its own,” says LiveAirShowTV President Jeff Lee. “All pilots love to fly any chance they get. When you can introduce a level of competition in a sanctioned event, what more could you ask for?”
The season has 20 races this year, more than ever, and LiveAirShowTV’s story outlines the schedule and location of each race. Pilots from all across the country will have access to at least one race they could compete in, and several that would only require a short cross-country flight to get to.
LiveAirShowTV is also ramping up for coverage of many air shows and aviation events during the 2011 season, according to company officials.
