The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) and the Center for Aviation and Aerospace Leadership (CAAL) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University–Worldwide have teamed to produce a new publication for the aviation and aerospace industry: Aerospace Industry Report 2011.
The report, which will be released later this month, will provide a business and market review of the U.S. aerospace industry, as well as the global economy. Designed to be a major reference resource for the industry, the book will contain analysis and statistics on key sectors of the industry and insights on emerging issues such as rare earth minerals and strategic metals and counterfeit parts, the publishers say.
“Both AIA and Embry-Riddle share the goal of providing resources to enable aerospace manufacturers and service providers to become more competitive,” said AIA President and CEO Marion Blakey. “Leveraging the resources of both our organizations in this new reference book will be an important contribution to our industry and a new chapter in AIA’s role as an authoritative source of industry information.”

AIA’s annual Aerospace Facts & Figures, published for the last 57 years, is merging with CAAL’s Aerospace Economic Report and Outlook (AERO) with the new publication. AERO was introduced in 2010 at the first annual Aviation and Aerospace Manufacturing Summit to be a resource for 21st century industry success.
AIA, which represents the nation’s major aerospace and defense manufacturers, was founded in 1919. Embry-Riddle was founded in 1925. Today, AIA has nearly 350 corporate members, while Embry-Riddle-Worldwide offers degree programs online and at more than 150 locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
