Golf tournament slated

By Janice Wood · May 4, 2011 ·

The Greater St. Louis Business Aviation Association (GSLBAA) will hold the 35th Business Aviation Annual Memorial Open (BAAMO) annual golf tournament June 4 at Pevely Farms Golf Course in St. Louis, Mo. Tee-off is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. The event is limited to 144 golfers and is open to aviators and aviation professionals.

“We were able to raise nearly $50,000 last year for this cause,” says Jeremy Cox, Vice President of Jet Brokers Inc. and a GSLBAA member. “We could not have done it without all of our sponsors, and I know we can raise more in 2011.”

Sponsorship opportunities are still available, including golf balls, volunteer shirts, tees, snacks, beverages, and hole sponsorships. Also available for sponsorship are contests such as Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. Golfers will be treated to breakfast, cocktails, a raffle, a lunch buffet, and 18 holes of golf, along with numerous prizes and awards being given away.

The event will raise money for two causes — the GSLBAA Educational Foundation and Wings of Hope.

GSLBAA Educational Foundation’s mission is to promote and advance corporate aviation through educational programs and scholarships. Wings of Hope is an international resource that specializes in implementing poverty reduction strategies. BAAMO supports the Med-Evac program in the Midwest area to help the disadvantaged get to medical attention.
