Elliott Aviation names Sahr vp

By Janice Wood · May 10, 2011 ·

Gregory Sahr has joined Elliott Aviation as vice president, sales, marketing and business development.

Sahr will manage the company’s technical sales and business development programs, as well as marketing communication support, including advertising, direct marketing and public relations. He has more than 16 years experience in the aviation industry, and joins Elliott Aviation from StandardAero, where he served as regional sales director for the Western United States.

He began his career as an avionics installer with Electrosonics in Columbus, Ohio, which was subsequently acquired by General Electric and renamed Garrett Aviation Services, advancing to lead avionics installer, facilities operations manager, site leader and avionics sales manager.

In 2005 when Garrett became part of Landmark Aviation, Sahr was named regional sales manager for Ohio and Indiana, and promoted to regional sales director for the Central United States before taking over the Western region of what is now known as StandardAero in 2008.

He holds an Associate’s Degree from Hocking Technical College in Nelsonville, Ohio.
