In 1985, Bogert Aviation’s Bogi Bar was born. The Bogi Bar is an aircraft tow bar designed to safely and easily maneuver a lightweight aircraft on the ground.
“Back in 1985 when I had my FBO in Richland, Washington, we were in tight quarters and always needed to move one plane in order to service another. One day while an employee was moving a plane, he inadvertently engaged the propeller, turning over the engine. The next thing I knew the plane was in motion, eating its way through three other aircraft parked on the ramp. By the end of that day I had purchased four airplanes now in a jumble of pieces across the tarmac. I’m a quick learner. I only needed that to happen once before I found a safer and less expensive way to move a plane,” says Richard Bogert, president.
