Winner Aviation expands

By Janice Wood · May 16, 2011 ·

Winner Aviation has purchased a recently built neighboring hangar at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport (YNG) to expand.

The 14,500-square-foot building provides Winner an additional 12,000 square feet of hangar space and 2,500 square feet of office space.

Don Taylor, Winner Aviation’s General Manager and VP/Operations, says the additional hangar space is needed for the company’s growing operation. “Before the purchase of this hangar, Winner had approximately 70,000 square feet of hangar and office space, but with the growth we’re experiencing in our MRO, Charter and Aircraft Management business, this will provide our customers the necessary space to safely store their aircraft, along with our Part 135 Charter aircraft.”

Winner Aviation operates a full service FBO with a Charter Department, Aircraft Management, and Maintenance Repair Organization. The facility is made up of jet, turbine, and piston service centers along with an avionics repair and installation shop, an engine repair and overhaul shop, and a parts department. Winner has Factory Authorized Service Center status with Twin Commander Aircraft, Mitsubishi MU-2, Cessna Multi-Engine and Piston, Cessna Caravan and Diamond Aircraft. It is also a Honeywell 331 Major Service Center and is FAA approved to complete 331 overhauls.
