RANS debuts control lock

By Janice Wood · May 19, 2011 ·

RANS has developed a control lock that attaches to most models.

The lock consist of a bungee cord, a couple of hooks and a cap that slips over the top of the control stick, according to company officials. It installs in seconds and the hooks feature adjusters to allow the bungee tension to be set for a particular model.

Unlocked CSH “One nice aspect of the control lock is that is not hard bolted so if an outside force against the control surfaces occurs, the bungees will absorb the load, and still prevent the surface from hitting against the stops,” an official added.

The control lock is available from the company’s parts department for $15.75. Part number is KPAC0241.
