FBO partners with sports and golf clubs

By Janice Wood · May 30, 2011 ·

Fly High Lexington, a new FBO at the Davidson County Airport in Lexington, N.C., has signed agreements with Wake Forest Sports and Sapona Country Club, a private golf club near the airport.

“Fly High Lexington continues to seek new and unique marketing vehicles to attract and service transient customers,” says, Karel Van Der Linden, Owner and Director of Fly High Lexington.

The agreement with Wake Forest Sports includes airport information for alumni and fans of Wake Forest University as well as other schools coming in to compete against them. Notre Dame, for instance, will play Wake Forest in football on Nov. 5. Notre Dame typically draws a large number of private single and twin engine airplanes including jets, FBO officials note.

Golf and dining passes are on the menu at Sapona Country Club, a Carolina golf club. Discounted golf and cart fees are available to transient crew and customers exclusively through Fly High Lexington.

Fly High Lexington has just signed on with Colt International and Shell Contract Fuel as the FBO continues to seek new ways to service its customers.
