Go Wichita publishes 2011 Visitors Guide

By Janice Wood · June 2, 2011 ·

Pilots are always looking for a new destination or the next great $100 hamburger should consider Wichita, Kan., the Air Capital of the World, said tourism officials, who just released the official Wichita Visitors Guide. From the fly-in restaurant at Lloyd Stearman Field at Benton Airpark (1K1) to the Kansas Aviation Museum, Wichita has attractions that interest pilots.

The 2011 Official Wichita Visitors Guide is available online for pre-flight destination research.

Go Wichita will distribute 160,000 copies of the 56-page publication that contains information about Wichita’s shopping, dining, museums, entertainment and cultural attractions. Plus, local residents share their tips for great things to do while in Wichita.

This year’s guide also is available online for the 97% of travelers who prefer to do their research on a destination city. The virtual guide allows page-by-page viewing of the printed publication’s complete contents.
