CubCrafters adds Fleming Aviation as Mid-Atlantic dealer

By Janice Wood · June 6, 2011 ·

CubCrafters recently added Fleming Aviation of Gaithersburg, Maryland, as a Certified Sales Center serving the mid-Atlantic region.

Tim and Pat Fleming founded Fleming Aviation in August 2010 and immediately positioned the company as a strong proponent of Light Sport Aircraft, according to CubCrafters officials. The Flemings met with CubCrafters General Manager Randy Lervold at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring last January and again at the CubCrafters Dealer Summit in late February, where a dealer agreement was signed.

Fleming Aviation has take delivery of a CubCrafters Carbon Cub SS and plans to add a Sport Cub S2 for rental and training.

Tim reports that already, interest is high among mid-Atlantic area pilots to take test flights: “They’ve all heard the buzz about the Carbon Cub SS and are eager to get in the cockpit.”

Tim, calling on his decades of instruction experience, plans to promote a series of short courses as The Adventure Flying Series. Courses will include “Taildragger 101,” “How to Fly Low and Slow,” “Canyon Flying” and more, using the Carbon Cub SS.

Fleming Aviation is based at Montgomery County Airpark in Gaithersburg, Maryland. It offers aircraft rental, Sport Pilot and Private Pilot flight training, aircraft sales and service.

CubCrafters’ network of Certified Sales Centers now includes 10 dealers and currently has openings in the northeast and mountain territories to complete the network.
