Eclipse Aerospace has “sold out” its Avio IFMS completion program. Company officials report that 100 customers have placed firm, non-refundable deposits to participate in the program, which is now sold out through March 2012. This program installs the fully integrated Avio flight management system in the Eclipse Jet.
Over a dozen aircraft have already been delivered with the Avio Integrated Flight Management System installed, which includes dynamically calculated top of descent guidance, coupled LPV (WAAS GPS) approaches, Airway/Victor route navigation, RNP (Auto/Manual), holding patterns and procedure turns, parallel offsets, storage for ninety-nine flight plans, user defined waypoints, nearest airports and navigation aids, and on-route information, according to company officials, who add the system includes enhanced graphics such as integrated on-route e-charts overlaid on the moving map, freezing levels, winds aloft, stormscope display, progressive zooming, and Canadian NexRad/Metars and TAFs.
