EAA Aviators Club offers ‘cool’ way to see AirVenture

By Janice Wood · June 23, 2011 ·

Experience AirVenture in a new, “cooler” way  this year at the EAA Aviators Club presented by Shell Aviation, a place to unwind, replenish, and watch the daily air shows. The 59th annual edition of EAA’s fly-in convention takes place July 25-31 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.

In addition to relaxing in an air-conditioned building, Aviators Club members will also enjoy complimentary lunch, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks throughout the day, complimentary dinner on Saturday before the Night Air Show, reserved air show seating outside on the flightline at show-center, electronics charging stations and bag storage, restroom facilities with flush toilets, and daily visits with some of the week’s air show performers and special guests. The club is open Monday, July 25, through Saturday, July 30.

Daily and weekly passes are available. Tickets may also be purchased at the EAA Aviators Club during AirVenture based on availability. Aviators Club admissions are in addition to regular AirVenture admission rates. Aviators Club proceeds go toward helping support EAA’s mission, according to officials.

Gee, what a bargain. $100 for a sandwich and air conditioning. What will they think of next?
