Smyrna Air Center hosts NATA president

By Janice Wood · June 28, 2011 ·

On June 16, James Coyne, president of the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and his wife, Holly, visited Smyrna Air Center at Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport (MQY) in Tennessee. The visit is part of a two-week tour of FBOs around the country.

Coyne spent the afternoon with senior staff, toured the facility and had Tennessee BBQ for lunch. During lunch, he was able to provide up-to-date insight into the industry, the many changes and where he felt the aviation industry was heading in the future, FBO officials said.

“We certainly enjoyed visiting with and speaking to Mr. Coyne and his wife. I learned a great deal from our conversation and Q & A session during the lunch hour,” said Brenda Fields, Chief Operating Officer for Smyrna Air Center.

Coyne and his wife Holly are currently on a two week tour of FBOs across the country. “I surpassed seeing my 1,000th FBO,” he noted.
