Decalin RunUP Fuel Additive fights lead build-up

By Janice Wood · July 10, 2011 ·

Now available is Decalin RunUP Fuel Additive, which is designed to prevent lead build-up in engines running 100LL.

The active ingredients is Tri-Cresyl-Phosphate, which aids in more completely burning lead during combustion. Decalin RunUp scavenges lead in aviation fuel after combustion to prevent lead oxide build-up on valves but still allows the lead to perform the anti-knock function prior to combustion, according to company officials. This leads to cleaner spark plugs, less build-up on valves and overload clutches. Cleaner oil is clearly visible at oil changes with less build up in oil reservoirs, officials noted.

Decalin is available in two sizes, 16 and 32 oz. bottles. Both include a built-in measuring and dispensing system that makes mixing the right ratio quick and easy, company officials said, who explain that ½ oz. of Decalin RunUp treats 10 gallons of 100LL. The 16-oz size treats up to 320 gallons of fuel, while the 32 oz. size handles 640 gallons of fuel.

California Power Systems now stocks Decalin RunUP in both size containers. For more information: 800-airwolf or 800-airwolf.com
