Gardner’s ‘Complete Private Pilot’ now in 11th edition

By Janice Wood · July 10, 2011 ·

“The Complete Private Pilot” by Bob Gardner, now in its 11th edition, covers everything involved with becoming a Private, Sport, or Recreational pilot, preparing students for the FAA Knowledge Exam and checkride.

The Complete Private Pilot provides many tips and techniques, checklists and mnemonic devices, as well as advice from the author’s personal experience, helping readers not only prepare for the FAA Knowledge Exam, but also for the cockpit. Written in a conversational yet concise style, the textbook allows students to quickly grasp the subjects presented, pass the required tests and checkrides, and have an operational understanding of flight they can take to the real world as a newly-minted pilot.

The Complete Private Pilot is a companion textbook for ASA’s Private Pilot Virtual Test Prep DVD Ground School.

The Complete Private Pilot syllabus offers a ground and flight training curriculum, meeting all experience and knowledge requirements for both Part 61 and 141 programs. Used in conjunction with Bob Gardner’s The Complete Private Pilot textbook, the syllabus will take a student from start to finish, with the ultimate goal of achieving Private Pilot or Sport Pilot certification.
