Million Air awarded lease at Calgary’s YYC

By Janice Wood · July 10, 2011 ·

Million Air has inked a multi-year lease agreement for the construction and development of a new FBO complex at the Calgary International Airport (YYC). This will be Million Air’s third FBO in Canada, with existing locations in Toronto and Vancouver, and the 31st in the network.

Million Air will begin constructing the new $12 million facility in 2011 and is expected to complete phase one of the project in 2012. “The new construction will include Million Air’s brand design standards,” said Terry Cross, chief operating officer for Million Air. “The FBO will feature trademark Million Air amenities such as theater room, complimentary beverage and snack bar located in the executive lobby, and multimedia conference rooms.”

Phase one of the planned development is a 7,000-square-foot FBO and a 28,000-square-foot hangar on seven acres. Phase two will add six acres to the development and bring two additional 28,000-square-foot hangars all to be constructed at Calgary International Airport’s YYC Global Logistics Park.
