Dynon Open House to become annual event

By Janice Wood · July 14, 2011 ·

Nearly 70 people attended the first Open House at Dynon Avionics. The success of the venture assures that the Open House will become an annual event, company officials said. The Open House was held in conjunction with the Arlington Fly-In and about 90% of the attendees took charter buses or drove their own cars from Arlington down to the company’s facilities in Woodinville, Wash., on Saturday, July 9.

Dynon presented a 20-minute PowerPoint three times during the day, followed by factory tours. There were two simulators for people who wanted to try flying the SkyView. Grills were set up outside the factory to provide visitors with Philly steak sandwiches.

“It was a relaxed event and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves,” said Robert Hamilton, Director of Marketing. “To us, the real measure of success was the level of interest and the quality of the questions. I believe a lot of people were pleasantly surprised by what they saw and what they learned.”
