Alpha Zulu has released a new book, “Owner Assisted Aircraft Maintenance.”
“Aircraft owners are seeking ways to learn more about their machines, improve the quality of maintenance, and reduce maintenance costs, which led to the creation of this book,” said author Daniel MacDonald, a pilot, flight instructor, and former flight school owner. “Summarizing three decades of experience, we believe it can save owners thousands of dollars each year.”
The book describes common maintenance activities that are approved for pilots to perform by the FAA, along with a number of other projects that you might wish to complete under the supervision of a certified mechanic. The book focuses on common “legacy” single engine aluminum aircraft built from the 1940s through today.
The book can be purchased for $29.95 from AircraftMaint.com, or through Aircraft Spruce and Specialty.
