West Star names new director of Bombardier programs

West Star Aviation recently named George Laiten director of Bombardier programs. He will join the West Star Aviation team in East Alton, Ill., in support of Challenger and Global series aircraft maintenance, avionics interior, paint service and support.

Laiten has an extensive background as both a maintenance technician with KC Aviation and as Senior Manager of Customer Support and MRO at Midcoast Aviation/Jet Aviation. He is a licensed A&P, private pilot, member of the Challenger Advisory Board, and a member of the Bombardier Industry Steering Committee.

West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows, and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.

In addition to its facilities in East Alton; Grand Junction, Colo.; Columbia, S.C.; and Dallas, West Star Aviation runs the maintenance operations at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, Colo., and at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, Mo. The company also provides FBO services for transient aircraft at its newly remodeled East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
