Guardian Mobility has teamed with The Trend Group, a provider of gas turbine engine trend monitoring analysis services, to give their mutual customers the ability to automatically track the performance of installed aircraft engines.
Engine Trend Monitoring (ETM) allows an aircraft operator to monitor engine performance to maintain peak operating efficiency and plan better for overhauls, according to company officials.
The Guardian solution automates the previous manual data collection process using its Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system and real-time communication network. It also gathers more data, allowing a more thorough analysis, officials note.
