West Star receives STC for Falcon 50B

By Janice Wood · August 28, 2011 ·

West Star Aviation recently received an STC for the Falcon 50B Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 to include Engine Indication Systems (EIS).

The STC amendment allows for EIS installation during a new major retrofit installation including large format configurable displays, air data computers, flight management systems, flight director, autopilot, radar, radios, attitude/heading computers, WAAS/LPV GPS, and file servers. In addition to the EIS upgrade, operators will recognize added features such as Wall to Wall ADI, additional XM weather features, and configurable displays with a growth path to SVS, according to company officials. The installation comes with a 5-year equipment warranty, officials add.

Falcon 50 HR West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows, and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.

In addition to its facilities in East Alton, Ill.; Grand Junction, Colo.; Columbia, SC; and Dallas, West Star Aviation runs the maintenance operations at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, Colo., and at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, Mo. The company also provides FBO services at its newly remodeled East Alton and Grand Junction facilities. For more information: WestStarAviation.com or 800-922-2421.
