WingX Pro7 to support Aspen Avionics’ Connected Panel

By Janice Wood · August 29, 2011 ·

Hilton Software’s WingX Pro7 will include comprehensive interoperability with Aspen Avionics’ Connected Panel when it becomes available for installation by the end of this year.

WingX45-1024 Aspen Avionics’ Connected Panel includes hardware, software, and application components that provide two-way wireless communications between panel avionics and personal smart devices to streamline flight-related activities, according to company officials.

“The integration of WingX Pro7 with the Connected Panel’s open hardware architecture and application programming interface (API) adds tremendous value, ease-of-use, and error-free avionics programming. By combining WingX Pro7’s unique split-view, terrain overlays, in-flight weather, and Synthetic Vision with Aspen Avionics’ new Connected Panel, WingX Pro7 achieves a level of mobile avionics performance that is unparalleled in the industry,” said Dr. Hilton Goldstein, CEO of Hilton Software.

WingX Pro7 is available for download from the App Store and iTunes. WingX Pro7 is iOS 3, iOS 4, iPad, and iPad 2 compatible. Synthetic Vision requires iOS 4. For additional information: HiltonSoftware.com, AspenAvionics.com.
