Angel MedFlight finalist in Spirit of Enterprise Award

By Janice Wood · September 20, 2011 ·

Angel MedFlight in Scottsdale, Ariz., has been selected as a finalist for the Spirit of Enterprise Awards for achievements in growth, adding jobs, and boosting the community. The awards, administered by the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, recognize top Arizona businesses for ethics, energy, and excellence in entrepreneurship.

Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance was founded in 2006 by then 25-year-old entrepreneur, Jeremy Freer. In the past five years, the company has more than quadrupled in the number of employees and introduced innovations that have enhanced the air medical transport industry, according to company officials. Angel MedFlight’s innovations, ethics, entrepreneurship and growth have been recognized by the Better Business Bureau, Phoenix Business Journal and Ernst & Young.

Winners will be announced during a Nov. 8 awards luncheon at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale. More than a thousand Valley entrepreneurs, community leaders, students and others are expected to attend.
