Sporty’s debuts radio mount

By Janice Wood · September 21, 2011 ·

Make sure your cockpit isn’t the scene of flying objects when you secure your SP-400 with the custom-designed RAM Mount Cradle, offered by Sporty’s.With this RAM Mount, you can securely attach your radio to the yoke where it will stay put, no matter what, Sporty’s officials said.

The SP-400 slides into the base, and the clip locks into place. The custom cradle is constructed with a high strength composite that will withstand years of use and abuse. Each RAM Mount features sturdy aluminum construction, a powder-coat finish and adjustable rubber ball joints.

The ILS feature in the SP-400 is an essential backup for all instrument flight operations, Sporty’s officials said. This mount allows you to keep your radio front and center where it will do the most benefit in an emergency.

“We so believe in the ruggedness of this RAM Mount that it comes with a Lifetime Warranty,” says Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman.

The SP-400 RAM Yoke Mount [#9014A] is available for $59.95.
