The best time to find a job

By Janice Wood · September 29, 2011 ·

A recent study by JSfirm.com shows more people start new jobs in January and most begin their new career search the last three months of the year. “This is critical information for hiring companiesm” said Jeff Richards, sales manager. “Companies should begin running job advertisement campaigns and recruiting in October, November, and December.”

JSfirm.com reports job ad sales are as much as 38% higher in the last quarter of each year. Companies anticipating new hires in January realize they need to begin the process now. “About 40% of companies surveyed said they underestimate the time it takes to find and recruit qualified job seekers,” said Richards. “Every January our phones light up with companies needing people immediately.”

“Thousands of qualified professionals will be seeking new opportunities during the last quarter of this year,” he added. “Proactive companies that attract this top talent now for their 2012 hires will save tens of thousands of dollars.”
