American Flyers moves to new facilities

By Janice Wood · October 6, 2011 ·

Earlier this month the American Flyers school at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK) moved to bigger quarters on the field.

The new 2,000-square-foot facility now has room for several flight simulators, as well as hangar space for up to 25 aircraft. Other amenities include additional classrooms, office space, and lounge and student areas. American Flyers at PWK offers weekend FAA written test preparation classes for the Private Pilot and Instrument Rating knowledge tests, as well as the Flight Instructor Renewal Course (FIRC). In addition to scheduled ground school classes, one-on-one instruction is available for all flight courses in company-owned or customer aircraft.

American Flyers also operates a full-service flight school at West Chicago’s DuPage Airport and seven additional FAA-approved schools throughout the country, and one in Mexico City, Mexico.
