E-Mag expands Grass-Roots Project

By Janice Wood · October 10, 2011 ·

E-Mag is celebrating seven years in the ignition business, with serial numbers now well over 2000. To mark the occasion, the Texas company is expanding its community give-back program, called the E-MAG Grass-Roots Project. Customers who buy ignitions from Sept. 19 to Nov. 30, 2011, can tell the company which EAA Chapter or type-network they want to send a contribution to.

In Part I of the program, E-Mag will send $50 per ignition to the chosen beneficiary. In Part II, the company will match (up to $100 per ignition) any additional (cash) contribution the customer makes as part of their ignition purchase.

This could generate a significant contribution — $100 to $500 per set (pair) of ignitions, company officials said, adding, “If asked, we’ll pass on requests to have contributions earmarked for Young Eagles, Old Eagles, EAA scholarships, or other programs.”

Eligible groups include:

  • EAA – All local EAA Chapters
  • Type-Networks
  • VAF – Vans Air Force
  • LOBO – Lancair Owners and Builders Organization
  • Others – We will happily consider suggestions for other groups.
