Aviation’s golden age has never been determined by the number and types of aircraft nor their equipment. It’s golden age was determined by fuel prices which actually determined how many air miles were traveled. Aviation’s loss of its golden age has been compounded by the aviation industry’s insistence on using expensive fuels.
