Honolulu International Airport’s newest FBO, Transair Center, is officially open for business.
Transair Center at HNL offers Avfuel products and services, including contract fuel and AVTRIP rewards.
Although currently operating out of a temporary facility – a newly-constructed passenger terminal and VIP lounge is slated for completion in 2012 – Transair Center provides a complete slate of FBO utilities, including quick turns, lav service, oxygen, and domestic and international ground handling services, according to Avfuel officials. The temporary space also includes a lounge area and meeting room for business needs. Passengers and crew are greeted with fresh flower leis upon disembarking from their aircraft. Complimentary Kona coffee is available to all.
Transair Center boasts a large ramp capable of accommodating sizeable business jets. Planeside clearances for Customs and the US Department of Agriculture are available upon request.
Transair Center is owned by Transair Executive Airlines, which has provided cargo and charter services to the Hawaiian Islands since 1982. Led by president and CEO Teimour Riahi, an experienced pilot and aviation industry veteran, the company branched into the FBO business in 2011 after identifying a need for a world-class FBO to tend to corporate and private aircraft at HNL. Avfuel seemed a natural choice for a fuel supplier: “Avfuel is known as a first-choice fuel provider among pilots,” Riahi said. “In addition, they bring to the table a variety of support services including a dynamic marketing program, AVTRIP rewards, and Avplan Trip Support for flight planning.”
