StandardAero expands into parts trading

By Janice Wood · November 27, 2011 ·

StandardAero Business Aviation has expanded to include the buying and selling of parts for general aviation aircraft. Included in the operation are APUs, whole engines, avionics and airframe components.

“Given the breadth and global reach of StandardAero’s MRO network, we recognized the business synergies involved in parts selling and trading and integrated it into our core operational strategy,” said Scott Taylor, Senior Vice President, Business Aviation. “Our success in engaging this opportunity comes from our reach in the marketplace and our ability to draw from an extensive inventory. We have the ability to obtain parts from our North American service centers and our expanded network of global partnerships. In addition, we maintain an extensive inventory of parts on-hand. If we don’t have them, chances are that we can get them due to our vast reach and resource network.”

The company manages its parts trading business out of its Tempe, Ariz., facility with distribution capability from Tempe and service locations in Los Angeles (LAX), Houston (IAH), Springfield, Il.,l (SPI) and Augusta, Ga. (AGS).
