JDA Aviation Technology Solutions (JDA) will hold its regulatory affairs training course focusing on expanding FAA regulatory affairs knowledge for certificated organizations and individuals, Feb. 14 and 15, 2012, at the American Airlines Training and Conference Center in Ft. Worth, Texas.
As in the past, the course will be led by former career FAA managers, principal inspectors and legal counsel who will provide recommended practices using real-life examples from their experience with the FAA and as private industry consultants. This training is interactive and will ensure that attendees are knowledgeable of:
- The FAA Flight Standards organization as well as Flight Standards District Office (FSDO)/Certificate Management Office (CMO) inspector duties, responsibilities, authority, limitations and acceptable conduct.
- FAA guidance including FAA regulations, handbooks, policies, procedures, websites, and other materials.
- FAA compliance, investigative and enforcement process, and how to review and respond to an FAA Letter of Investigation (LOI).
- The importance and methods to document communications with FAA personnel.
“It concerns us to hear of the difficulties some operators are having with their FAA interactions,” said Joe Del Balzo, president of JDA. “This course will provide in-depth understanding of the FAA processes and inspector responsibilities and authority as well as the resources available to assist operators improve their working relationship with their FAA counterparts.”
JDA has conducted the course since 2009.
