Waco approved to produce Great Lakes parts

By Ben Sclair · December 22, 2011 ·

Battle Creek, MI — WACO Classic Aircraft has received approval to begin part production for the Great Lakes 2T-1A biplane. The approval allows WACO to produce parts for production aircraft, and to sell approved parts to owners of aircraft produced in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Production of the Great Lakes biplane has started, in anticipation of the first engine from Lycoming arriving in mid-February.

I can’t wait – The Lakes is a great airplane and I am sure WACO will make it even better.
