This year’s U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Fla., will be held this week, Jan. 19-22, and Gleim will be there to help prospective general aviation pilots start their certification journey. Interested individuals can take a two-hour Gleim course at the show to learn more about becoming a pilot and be issued an FAA Student Pilot Certificate, which is required before flying solo.
“An event like the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo is a great way to interest individuals in aviation,” says company president Dr. Irvin Gleim. “With the addition of this course offering in an accelerated format at the Expo, we hope to help generate more interest in the Sport Pilot Certificate and prove that it is not too difficult to become a pilot.”
Participants can earn their student pilot certificate from Gleim in two ways:
- Take the Gleim Sport Pilot Student Certificate Course ahead of time and have a Gleim representative issue the student certificate at the Expo
- Attend the two-hour certification course at the Expo
The cost for this course and service is normally $29.95, but at the Expo, the first 100 certificates will be issued for free. Participants will need to bring a valid driver’s license and government-issued birth certificate to verify US citizenship.
