All CFIs, general aviation pilots and airport personnel are invited to the Maryland Regional Aviation Conference May 3-5 at Hagerstown Regional Airport.
The annual conference is sponsored by the Maryland Airport Managers Association in partnership with the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) and Hagerstown Regional Airport.
It kicks off May 3 with a fun day of activities and networking including golfing events and local museum tours. In addition, participants can visit the Hagerstown Aviation Museum located right at the airport.
May 4th, MAMA presents a line-up of breakout sessions/keynote speakers with a focus on topics like:
- Real world, scenario based primary flight training methods
- Light Sport Aircraft Forum
- Use of simulators year round with 24/7 capability
- Recreational pilot training
- Owner maintenance
- Airport business plan workshop
- Closing contract towers serving GA airports
- Proposed elimination of air carrier subsidies
On May 5, MAMA will hold the 1st Awards Ceremony for the “Explore Maryland by Air Program.” In less than one year, more than 575 pilots have signed up for the program.
FAASteam Safety Seminars will be held all day Saturday, May 5, during The Maryland Regional Festival of Flight.
