Sporty’s launches new learn to fly course

By Janice Wood · March 8, 2012 ·

Sporty’s has launched a new Learn to Fly Course, which provides learning tracks for Private, Recreational and Sport Pilot – or any combination.

“This modular approach to learning to fly provides for a more modern and personalized learning experience,” says Sporty’s Academy President Eric Radtke.

For one price, Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course provides all the training material and test preparation necessary to pasbut the options don’t stop there. Pilots may choose to learn via DVD, online or through a dedicated app for iPad or iPhone.

“Just as it’s tough for a college freshman to pick a major, it’s equally difficult for a new pilot to know whether he or she wants to be a Sport Pilot, Recreational Pilot or Private Pilot,” says Radtke. “With Sporty’s Learn to Fly course, we offer all three. And the course’s modular design means pilots have the option to begin with solo, sport or recreational, then transition to the Private Pilot later if they desire.”

In-flight footage clarifies complex material, while 3-D animations simplify more difficult topics such as weather theory and aerodynamics. Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course also comes with exclusive content that can’t be found anywhere else, like tips from author Richard L. Collins in Air Facts segments.

Also provided with Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course is Sporty’s Training Course Outline (syllabus) and Practical Test Standards Study Guide that references every element of the PTS to specific video training segments. A written Test Endorsement is available right from the course after using the powerful test preparation program with three modes of operation for study or simulated exams.

Sporty’s guarantees you will pass all three tests – the written test, the oral test and the flight test – or your money back.

Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course is available for $249 as an online course [1753A]; in DVD format [7310A]; or as an iPad/iPhone App [2891A].

I bought this course a few months ago, I watched the videos a couples times but was no where near ready to take the written, I had to take a break, and started back up today, well tonight I logged in and found this “You’ve watched the maximum videos allowed. Contact Sporty’s customer service at 513.735.9000 or [email protected]” despite being told that the course was mine forever and that I would be able to review the videos whenever i wanted, even after I earned my PPL, which I haven’t, I haven’t even taken the written yet. Sporty’s basically stole my $200, as this course is now worthless to me.
