Aircraft Spruce carries Pilot Chews

By Janice Wood · March 11, 2012 ·

Aircraft Spruce now stocks a new product that was developed by pilots to battle fatigue: Pilot Chews, an aviation dietary supplement formulated for pilots to enhance their performance during flight.

Pilot Chews is designed to give pilots more energy, faster reflexes, increased alertness, improved memory, maximized night vision, as well as other benefits, company officials said.

Pilot Chews contains huperzine A, vitamin A, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, choline, ginger root, and caffeine. It comes in four fruity flavors including fruit punch, lime, watermelon, and orange papaya.

Pilot Chews was born when private pilot and entrepreneur, Eli Weingarden, sold his airplane to the owner of a dietary supplement manufacturing facility. “I always wondered why there wasn’t something available for pilots and realized this was my chance to bring one to market,” says Eli. “Being a pilot is an extremely demanding job. It requires long periods of time in the air with reduced levels of oxygen, intense multitasking, recalling loads of information, challenging landings, all while having to remain extremely sharp. Well, Pilot Chews is here to help pilots with all of that!”
