On Saturday, March 31, the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE) held the drawing for a flight in Stallion 51’s P-51TF, “The LITTLE Witch” at Sun ’n Fun.
Standing beside the airplane on the Warbird Ramp at Sun ’n Fun, Stallion 51 Owner and Chief Pilot Lee Lauderback randomly drew the winning ticket from a bin of more than 1,000 tickets.

Winner Ronald VandenDungen from Alberta, Canada, will not only help to create the flight’s mission profile, but will also be given the opportunity to do most of the flying. The session will include two hours of pre- and post-flight briefings, plus one hour in the aircraft with a Stallion 51 instructor.
The fundraising raffle benefits SAFE, which represents nearly 700 of the industry’s top aviation educators in 49 states and nine foreign countries. The organization offers a needs-based mentoring program as well as a CFI Liability Insurance program, and is leading the Pilot Training Reform Initiative.
