The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) has announced the selection of Rudy Frasca for induction into the NAFI Flight Instructor Hall of Fame.
Rudy Frasca has spent a career working to improve flight training and building a successful business, Frasca International, Inc., which has simulators around the world in flight training operations, NAFI officials noted.
The 2012 inductee to the NAFI Flight Instructor Hall of Fame will be presented at the Sporty’s Fly-In on May 19, in Batavia, Ohio (KI69). Members of NAFI and the flight training community are encouraged to attend the Sporty’s Fly-In and be present for the conference of induction and recognition.
“I have known Rudy for many years, and I am pleased to see NAFI recognizing his contribution to the flight instruction community,” said Sporty’s founder Hal Shevers. “We look forward to hosting this presentation at the Sporty’s Fly-In this year to someone who I have worked with and known as a friend.”
The NAFI Flight Instructor Hall of Fame was created in 1997 to raise the stature and recognition of flight instructors and to promote greater appreciation of the role flight instructors have in training pilots at all levels. A committee of seasoned and notable flight instructors from across the United States reviewed nominations submitted from around the world. The Hall of Fame considers nominations each year.
