Connecticut’s Simsbury Airport (4B9) will create a new category of tie-downs at the reduced monthly cost of $49.
These less expensive tie-down locations will be on the large turf areas at the airport, with easy access to all taxiways and to the main runway, airport officials said. As an additional attraction, annual membership dues for the Simsbury Flying Club will be waived for the balance of 2012 for aircraft owners who move to Simsbury to take advantage of the new rate.
Aircraft owners wishing to relocate to Simsbury are asked to contact Airport Manager Bill Thomas at 860-693-4550 or wdthomas421@gmail.com.
Simsbury Airport offers self-serve 24/7 avgas, aircraft servicing by Simsbury Aircraft Maintenance, and flight training and aircraft rental by Future Flyers of Connecticut. For more information: SimsburyAirport.com
