Insta Etch of Phoenix has released its Etch2000 professional parts marking system.
The custom stencil design smartphone app is based off Android and Blackberry operating systems and wirelessly prints a pre-programmed or user designed stencil to a handheld Bluetooth printer. Using electrochemical solutions and these precision stencils, metal parts and tools can now be permanently marked with ID and serial numbers and even logo images and data matrix barcodes, all while on the manufacturing line or in the field, company officials said.
The Etch2000 professional kit is mobile and wireless, effectively replacing systems using desktop computer design software and bulky wired printers. Parts marked for traceablity and branding with Insta Etch stencils are permanent and precise and conform to SAE, DoD, NASA and various other aerospace specifications, company officials said.
