The 4th Annual 1940’s World War II Era Ball, featuring a Casablanca theme, will be held Saturday, June 16, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Boulder Airport in Colorado.
The USO-style show will feature celebrity impersonators, including Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and The Andrews Sisters!

The evening will also feature World War II planes, flybys, military vehicles and re-enactors listening to the big band The Hot Tomatoes, under the nose of a World War II Bomber.
The hangar will be made into Rick’s Café Americain, with belly dancers, Rick, Sam and even a roulette table that attendees can play on, according to the organizers.
There will also be a 1940’s car show, The Diamond Dolls, Hot Club of Pearl Swing Band, The Side-kickers, hula dancers, Boulder Swing Dance, swing dancing lessons and aerialist Brandy Dew. Get a paper moon photo or an authentic 40’s hairstyle! Wine, champagne, beer and cocktail bar. Food available for purchase.
Last year’s ball was sold out, so organizers say get your tickets early. Tickets are $30 now, $35 at the door. All net proceeds from the 1940’s WWII Era Ball will be donated to The Wounded Warriors Project and The Spirit of Flight Center Colorado.
This event is in conjunction with Boulder Airport’s annual Airport Day and Open House June 16 from 9-3pm before the Ball. Dozens of aircraft will be on display, aviation seminars, helicopter and bi-plane rides, food vendors, and much more. For more information: BoulderColorado.gov
