NationAir Aviation Insurance has added Bob Cox to its team of aviation insurance professionals as a sales executive for its southeast region.
Cox, based in Orlando, will handle the company’s general aviation insurance sales in Florida and the Southeast.
A 30-year veteran of insurance and risk management, Cox served as risk manager for Orlando’s Rosen Hotels and owned two insurance agencies. For the last 10 years, he owned Cox Insurance Consulting, which provided full risk management services for general liability, workers’ compensation and group health to both aviation and non-aviation clients.
Cox is a private pilot who owns a Diamond DA20. He holds two world airspeed records with the Federation Aeronautique Nationale and the National Aeronautic Association for flying a Lake Amphibian seaplane from Orlando to Key West, and for flying a Velocity from Orlando to Savannah, Ga.
He is a graduate of the University of Tampa’s insurance program, a certified insurance instructor, and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
