The New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Conn,. has kicked off its special programs and hands-on activities for its visitors during the summer. The programs will run through Aug. 24.
Visitors to the museum, which is located by Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn., will have the chance to get up close and personal with the museum’s 80 display aircraft. A variety of activities will be offered each day such as build and fly challenge activities, flight science demonstrations, stories under a wing and the chance to sit in the cockpit of an aircraft.
In addition to these activities there will be special Fun Friday events and the museum will also premiere its Flight Sim Experience, a high-tech flight simulation program. These activities will be offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.
Additionally the museum has 5 one-day workshops available, including Take Flight Ground School; Engineering Design Challenge; Women Fly 100 Years and You Can Too!; Become a Mathemagician; and History Day 2013.
