Speer named Tennesee Airport Manager of the Year

At the annual Tennessee Airports Conference, held Aug. 22-24 in Nashville, Jo Ann Speer, from Everett Stewart Regional Airport (UCY) in Union City won Airport Manager of the Year.

Speer has been the airport manager for five years and previously ran the FBO. She has been active in the aviation industry for 13 years when she decided to get her pilots license.

In 2011, the airport was given the Red Carpet Award, the initial year of the award. The Airport Board also won the Governing Body of the Year award in 2011.
