New book released on experimental combat aircraft

By Janice Wood · December 5, 2012 ·

Are Warbirds your thing? What about Warbirds developed by the Brits for World War II? If so, Specialty Press has just released Tony Buttler’s 268-page book, “British Experimental Combat Aircraft of World War II.”

The book covers 35 aircraft from the likes of Blackburn, Boulton, Bristol down to Vickers and Westland. Each aircraft includes numerous images sprinkled among the details.

Aircraft included were those built and flown as prototypes only, as well as others that were put into production, such as the Westland Welkin, but never reached a squadron.

The book [#HK924] is available from Specialty Press, 800-895-4585, for $56.95 + $6.95 shipping and handling.
