Officials at World Fuel Services report that St. Thomas Jet Center located at Cyril E. King Airport (STT) in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Lehigh Valley Aviation Services located at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) in Allentown, Pa., have joined the Air Elite Network.
St. Thomas Jet Center has become the first Caribbean location to carry the Air Elite designation. Owners Michael and Susan Hancock have over 59 years of combined experience in aviation.
“It is an honor to be the first Air Elite FBO in the Caribbean. The completion of our facility renovations and new customs building streamlines the arrival/departure logistics to allow our customers spend more time enjoying this wonderful island,” said Susan Hancock.
In another milestone for Air Elite, Lehigh Valley Aviation Services became the first Air Elite FBO owned and operated by a municipality.
“All of us at Lehigh Valley Aviation Services are excited to be part of the Air Elite network. We feel that the combination of World Fuel Services and the Phillips 66 brand gives us the tools we need to grow our business now and position ourselves for future success. We look forward to partnering with other Air Elite members to establish Air Elite as the premier name in FBO services,” said Darren Betters, Lehigh Valley International Airport’s Director of Commercial Services.
With the addition of St. Thomas Jet Center and Lehigh Valley Aviation Services, the Air Elite Network now includes 25 locations world wide. The network was established in late 2011 and each FBO must meet a number of airport, facility and service quality standards to qualify for membership.
