DALLAS — BBA Aviation has appointed Doug Meador president of its Dallas Airmotive subsidiary.
The eight-year company veteran had been serving as Chief Financial Officer of the subsidiary since June 2005 and previously had served as Vice President and General Manager of Operations for Dallas Airmotive’s Forest Park maintenance, repair and overhaul facility.
Meador’s responsibilities will encompass all areas of Dallas Airmotive (DAI) global engine repair and overhaul operations including the activities of DAI’s Forest Park and Heritage Park overhaul centers in Dallas, 13 DAI Regional Turbine Centers, Premier Turbines overhaul facility in Neosho, Missouri, parts companies International Turbine Service and W.H. Barrett Turbine Engine Company, and accessory and component company International Governor Services.
Before joining Dallas Airmotive in August 2004, Meador was Plant Manager at General Electric Engine Services in Dallas. While there, he had full P&L responsibility for the $200 million GE turbine engine overhaul subsidiary. His prior GE roles also encompassed various financial and operational leadership positions with GE Aviation and GE Transportation Systems in Dallas, Jacksonville, Fla., and Pine Bluff, Ark. Meador also served in the U.S. Army as an active duty Finance Officer.
Meador is a licensed CPA. He earned his Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas.
